SDRAM on PCIeV4Base

Has anyone tried any other SDRAM SODIMMS in the PCIeV4Base board?

Using any DDR2-SODIMM on PCIeV4BASE

Hello,

if you want to use your own SODIMMs on PCIeV4BASE, there are some things to consider:
  • The example FPGA design included in delivery will probably not work, because other SODIMMs may have different memory organizations, i. e. number of devices, memory size, module rank addresses ...
  • Delivered 512 MByte SODIMM is the only one tested and verified together with PCIeV4BASE.
  • You have to generate an appropriate memory controller with Xilinx memory interface generator on your own and then change and check pinout in *.ucf file!
  • CESYS GmbH does not guarantee correct functionality and does not repair/support damages and problems arising from use of other SODIMMs free of charge!

best regards
